I walk past 3 others cafes to get my morning fix at Floozy Coffee. A little apricot painted oasis in the centre of busy Newcastle. Friendly staff, an overflowing loyalty card holder and TASTY coffee. Love it here
I visit Floozy almost every morning before work, Monday to Friday, and it’s the perfect start to my day. The coffee is always top-notch, consistently smooth and full of flavor. But what truly sets this place apart is the incredible staff—always welcoming, friendly, and ready with a smile. It’s my favorite spot in Newcastle, and I recommend it to anyone looking for the best coffee in town. The amazing team is just the cherry on top!

Such a cute tucked away cafe, inviting atmosphere with nice staff. Was intrigued by their matcha and it was made in house with the proper Japanese style matcha, much prefer it! Will be back.
A honest gem hidden in plain sight. Reopened after a hiatus. King street opposite NEX. Near the corner of Union Street and King White and black espresso coffee Batch and cold brew available on rotating single origin blends. My experience here revealed that beautiful experiences can happen in short spaces of time. And yet it can last for days. I researched cafes to visit in Newcastle and this was high on my list, however, I left it a bit late and was rushing for my bus. I managed to spend ten blissful minutes drinking my flat white and munching on my Floozy cookie here. There was an undeniably warm and lovely atmosphere. The care and attention that clearly went into this cafe was felt, and this stayed with me. So far it’s the best cafe experience I’ve had in Australia, despite it being one of the shortest in time. Thank you :)
Smooth, perfectly made coffee by a skilled barista – better than most Melbourne roasters, and that’s saying something! For serious coffee drinkers, Floozy is an absolute must. Hands down the best coffee in Newcastle!
A nice retreat on King Street (opp NEX). Very good coffee (they roast it), and dark chocolate and pistachio cookie.

The only drawback was the eco-friendly takeaway cup, which seemed to affect the texture and slightly mute the flavour. 👋 Staff The team were warm and genuinely enthusiastic, which made the visit feel welcoming. Service was quick and relaxed. 🎀 Decor The space is thoughtfully put together with a fun, consistent pink theme that stands out. It gives the café a strong identity even for a short takeaway visit. 📍 Location Conveniently set just off the Newcastle foreshore, it’s an easy stop on a walk. Seating is limited to a few outdoor tables, but the atmosphere out there was relaxed and lovely. 🔥 Unique detail The in-house roaster tucked at the back of the building is a great touch — very cool to see and adds to the character of the place. I’d happily return for another takeaway coffee, especially when I’m in the area.
